The Summers for Congress team today announced the support and leadership of respected members of Maine’s business and political community to serve on the Summers for Congress Finance Committee. Brian Patterson, Attorney at Verrill Dana, will chair the finance committee for the campaign.

Charlie Summers is currently serving in Iraq, as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. In 2004, Summers was the GOP nominee in Maine’s First District Congressional race, securing a higher percentage of the vote than any previous challenger to Democratic incumbent Tom Allen. He previously served as the New England Regional Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration, State Director for U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine), and as a 2-term member of the Maine State Senate representing Saco, Scarborough and Old Orchard Beach.
